TeamSideline will release the next set of 2015 enhancements this Saturday night, March 28th.

Server Maintenance

Our production servers will be patched during this downtime to apply important updates to keep our servers up on the latest and greatest OS version, thus allowing us to keep your sites running smoothly and safely.

Registration

If your customers are enrolling the same person in multiple offerings within a program (ex. choosing multiple weeks for the same child for a summer camp), they will no longer have to fill out the same enrollment fields for each offering.  This will speed up their ability to enroll and will eliminate data redundancy.

Customers Creating a New Account

If you add “Editable” Account or Parent Custom Fields (Administration > Configurations > Custom Fields) to capture information regarding your primary account holders, now when those customers register for the very first time, they will be prompted to enter in this information.  This will eliminate the need for them to go back to their Profile page and enter in this data later.

Please note that the downtime period to enable these enhancements to be implemented will be from 10pm – Midnight (PST) Saturday night, March 28th.

March 21st Enhancements Notification

TeamSideline will release the next set of 2015 enhancements this Saturday night, March 21st.

Evolved Layout

The new Evolved Layout has become more robust with each of our releases.  This release includes updates for Facility Management, Activity Registration, and the Store.  Check out some of our newest sites that have moved to the Evolved Layout: Albany Sports, MSCR Youth Soccer, Lancaster Youth Softball, Placer Youth Soccer Club.  For those organizations who want to move to the Evolved platform, let us know if you are interested in our new level of service for this platform – Professional Webmaster Services.

Registration Enhancements

For our registration customers, we’ve added a number of enhancements for you in this release:

  • Enable Pay Balance – if you have your site enabled for the Enable Pay Balance feature (Programs > Configurations > General > Enable Pay Balance = Yes), your customers with outstanding balances can pay what they owe you online with a credit card.  If they choose to pay less than the total amount that they owe you, they will be able to choose the specific program/offering that they want the money applied to.
  • Partial Payments – you can now setup your programs and enable your customers to make a partial payment by a fixed dollar amount or by a specific percentage off.
  • Order Confirmation text – add specific order receipt text to the bottom of the Order Confirmation email that is automatically sent to your customers when an order is placed.  You can update this on the 2 Configuration page of any program – just click the Edit Order Receipt Text button.
  • Discover credit cards – All TeamSideline sites using NDMS or Authorize.net as their credit card process will now have the capability to accept Discover credit cards for any purchases made on their site.
  • AMEX credit cards – All NDMS and Authorize.net TeamSideline sites now have the option of accepting American Express credit cards on their site.  If you’re interested, please email support@teamsideline.com.

Team Roster Registrations

Sites using the Team Roster Registration registration program type will now be able to have their Team Managers sign up their teams – and when adding each player on the roster, specify the amount each team member pays toward the team registration.  This means when the player registers online to be on the roster for that team, the player will pay the amount specified by the Team Manager.  Admins will also continue to have the ability to set the amount but there is now additional flexibility if this is needed for the leagues that your organization runs.  If you are interested in Team Roster Registrations, email bruce@teamsideline.com for a demo.

Youth plus Adult Registrations

For our Activity Registration customers, after this release you will be able create one program for both youth and adults.  This is the type of program that can be used for events like 5k races where both adults and children will sign up.  To create this new program, go to Programs > Manage Programs, click the Add Program button and select the new registration type Youth & Adult Registration to get started.

Schedule Calendars

Your members will now be able to sync their devices with game times and schedule changes.  On every public facing Schedule page, there are iCal compliant subscription links available which can be used for all teams or for just one team.  To use this function, go to one of your public facing Schedule pages, click the Subscribe button, select and copy the link you want.  You can then use your calendar client (ex. Google Calendar or Microsoft Outlook) “Subscribe to URL” feature to paste the link which enables the linkage.

Practice Schedules

If you’ve setup a practice schedule and there is a scheduled game at the same time, you will get a warning on both the practice and regular schedule pages that there is a conflict.  You can review any division’s practice schedule by going to the 4 Create Schedule > Practice page or review any division’s regular schedule by going to the 4 Create Schedule > Regular page – on either page any conflicts will display.  To enable this functionality, go to Programs > Configurations > General and set Practice Conflicts = Yes.

Tournament Module

For our customers using the Tournament Module, team conflicts can now be created and added to any schedule.  Once you add a conflict, the 4 Create Schedule page will display a warning message if the current schedule violates any conflict that you’ve entered, making it easier for you to make any necessary schedule adjustments.  Email bruce@teamsideline.com if you are interested in learning more about the Tournament Module.

Team Site Enhancements

  • Team sites currently have a limit of eight stats that can be added to any specific site.  After this release, you can add up to 12 individual stats for each team.
  • Leagues can lock down Team Sites to prevent individual teams from adding players to their rosters and circumventing the normal league signup process.  However, this was also preventing parents and coaches from updating vital team contact information.  The functionality has been modified to allow edits to contact info like phone numbers and addresses.  This will also enable teams on leagues that have the “Limited” lockdown in place to take advantage of the team texting capability.  Set the Staff Edit functionality at Programs > Configurations > Team Sites.

Add a BCC to your League Communications

For every email sent out by an admin on your TeamSideline website, you can now have anyone you want automatically BCC’d on those communications.  Go to Communications > Configurations > General, click the Add Communication BCC button, type in the Email Address, and click the Add button.  Add as many BCCs as you’d like – there is no limit.

Clickable News Items

You can now add a link to the image you display for any News Item.  Go to Content > News Item and when you add or edit a News Item, you can select an Image Link Type and then set the appropriate webpage or document you want to link to.

Facility Management Add Ons

For reservations that have Add-Ons that have already been ordered, an admin will now be able to cancel and remove the Add-On as needed.  Go to Customer > Account Management > Search and search for the specific customer.  Click on the customer’s name to go to the Account Overview page, select the Reservations tab, click the edit icon for the reservation you need to modify, click the red x to remove the Add-On, and click the Save button.

Contact Us

The Contact Us standard site page can now be added to your site pages.  Go to Content > Configurations > Site Pages, right click on Menu Pages, scroll down to Add Standard Page and select Contact Us.  Move it to wherever you want in the page structure and then click the Save button.

February 10th Enhancements Notification

TeamSideline will release the next set of 2015 enhancements this Tuesday night, February 10th.

Registration Program Partial Payment

For our registration customers, this release will include the ability to have a different partial payment percentage for each individual program vs the current setting for the whole website.  Just go to Programs > Manage Programs and go to your program’s 1 Setup page to set Enable Partial Pay to Yes and set the Partial Pay % to the percentage you will allow your customers to pay initially when they register.

The Store

A Store front is available to all TeamSideline registration customers.  Now you can include your own instructions to your customers at the top of the public Store – an example would be the date when all store orders must be placed by or information on how the purchase will be delivered.  To make modifications to this area, go to Content > Page Edit and select Store Page – Instructions Section from the Page to Edit dropdown.

Calendar Events

When you add an event to your public calendar, you can now be more descriptive – we’ve increased the limit from 500 to 2000 characters.  You can find this under Content > Calendar when you add or edit an event.  Please note that HTML formatting is included in the total number of characters.

Downloads

Our Premium customers will now be able to see the number of times a specific document has been downloaded by your own customers.  You will be able to view this for each document on the Content > Downloads page (look for the Downloaded column).  Note: Document counts will start after 2/10/2015 and any downloads prior to this date will not be included in the download count total.  If you are interested in learning more about our Premium upgrade, please email bruce@teamsideline.com for more details.

January 31st Enhancements Notification

TeamSideline will release the first set of 2015 enhancements this Saturday night, January 31st.

Team Site Texting

Texting is now available for each team site so parents, players, and coaches can easily communicate amongst each other.  To receive text messages, any team member on the roster (parents, players, or staff) need only log into the team site and update their team’s roster entry to select their phone carrier and enable texting.  To send out either a text or email message, go to Communication > Send Communication to compose your message and hit the Send button.

Program Quick Navigation

For Sites with Registration features, we’ve added a Quick Nav icon MoreButton  that you will see once you click into a specific program under Programs > Manage Programs.  This allows you to quickly cycle through your registration programs so you can review or update each page easily.  This same functionality also exists in Schedules > Leagues & Divisions once you click into a division.

Reporting

More good news for registration customers!  On Customer reports (Reports > Report Exports) where drilling down to a Program’s Offering is available, you can now select specific Offerings to report out.  Just select one, two, or all Offerings before you hit the Export button to tailor your report to just what you need.  The reports that have been updated are the Enrollment Information, the Roster Enrollment (for Team Registrations), the Add-On, and the Add-On Missing report.

Update Multiple Divisions for Scheduling

For customers with the Premium upgrade, the Update Multiple Divisions button (Schedules > Leagues & Divisions) allows you to make one or more changes to more than one division at a time.  In this release, we’ve added some of our more recent enhancements to this feature so you can make necessary edits fast:

  • Track Sportsmanship
  • Exclude Games Not Played
  • Hide Navigation Link
  • Standings Page Section and Column Names

Evolved Sites

Evolved sites can now use a Blue color scheme that is more bold and vibrant Blue.  If you are interested in having an “Evolved Site” (aka Responsive Site), send a note to support@teamsideline.com so this option can be enabled for your site.   Keep in mind that this mode is still in beta rollout mode and not all functions are available at this time – more Classic Site features are being implemented in the Evolved Site mode with each TeamSideline release.

Team/Roster Registration

Some changes have been put in place for the Team/Roster Registration module:

  • The ability to have all team staff members (managers, coaches, etc) check off on the Terms and Conditions setup for a Team Registration.  This will guarantee all staff members have agreed to the rules and regulations that have been established for your programs or they won’t be able to sign up.
  • We’ve added the ability to have reminders setup on all player and staff enrollment invitations.  Now when the invited players and staff members haven’t signed up and accepted their enrollment invitation, they will automatically get up to two reminders – one three days and one seven days later.
  • Selected team staff members will be able to receive an automatic email when the players on their team sign up.

Activity Registration

We’ve made some enhancements to our newest module – Activity Registration.  You can now create categories for other types of programs you would like to offer your customers – examples are Dance and Art classes.  Once you’ve setup these categories, you can create programs within them.  When your customers come to your site and access your “Activities” page, they can search by category to find just the right program to sign up for.

Facility Reservation

Here are some of the Facility Reservation Module highlights for this release:

  • A new Master Calendar is available for administrators under Facility Reservation > Master Calendar.  Select the Facilities you want to view, select your Display Settings, then click the Update View button.  You’ll see the Blocked, Reserved, and Available times for each selected facility for a single day’s view.
  • Blocked times are now visible on each facility’s individual calendar, along with the reservations that have been placed.  You can view this calendar by day, week, or month.  And if you put your cursor over a reservation, you can click the edit icon Edit to go to the customer’s account and reservation information.
  • The Reservation Information report (Reports > Report Exports) now includes the Add-On data fields that you’ve made available for your facilities.  All Add-On data fields are identified with an “(a)” in front of them and can be moved from the left column to the right column to be included in your report.
  • For each site or location, you can enable add-ons for your customers to make a purchase.  Now they can purchase just one, any quantity they want, or just one per night – as an admin, you now have the flexibility to determine how these purchases can be made.

December 13th Enhancements Notification

December 13th Enhancements Notification

TeamSideline will release the last set of 2014 enhancements this Saturday night, December 13th.  There are lots of goodies below – just in time for the holidays!

Facility Management Module

Our last release introduced the “Add-ons” functionality that is now available for a facility when one of your customers places a reservation.  Now we’ve expanded that functionality so site admins can also make a reservation for a customer and include an “Add-on” like a bundle of firewood purchased with a campsite reservation or a bucket of balls purchased with a Golf Simulator rental.  Interested in this module?  Just email bruce@teamsideline.com for a demo.

Master Program for Team Registration

You can now create a “Master” program for your Team Registration programs.  This means that all teams register first in the “Master” program prior to signing up for any other dependent or subsequent programs.  This enables the “Master” roster to be used on programs (like Tournaments) that you hold throughout the year.  If you are interested in this type of functionality, email bruce@teamsideline.com for a demo.

Team Registration with Youth Roster Registration

Coaches can now register their youth teams and TeamSideline will automatically email a roster invitation to players’ parents enabling parents to register their child(ren) as players on that Team.  In addition, a player’s picture can be uploaded by their parent during the registration process.  This picture can be used for individual player passes and/or a team picture roster.  The registration process also means Parents must agree to the Waivers and/or Terms and Conditions you add to the registration process.  Intrigued?  Email bruce@teamsideline.com.

Adult Registration Assignments

Adult individual registration programs will now be able to drag and drop individuals to teams just like you do for a youth individual registration program.  For this type of program, after you’ve created your teams under Schedules > Leagues & Divisions, go to the program’s Assign To Roster page and setup your Filters and Highlights.  Then drag the adults from the left to the appropriate team on the right.

Once you do your assignments, over in the Send Communication area, distribution list are dynamically created under Team Rosters – Current Leagues.  Just click on the triangle next to the league name or continue to drill down to a specific team or even to an individual who you want to send an email to.

General Ledger Account

Do you need to track the General Ledger (GL) Account that is tied to either an individual or team program?  Enter your master GL Accounts at Administration > Configurations > GL Accounts and add them to a specific Program on the 1 Setup tab (Programs > Manage Programs).  When you need to review the transactions for your organization and see the accompanying GL Account data, run the Cash Flow Detail with GL Account report under Reports > Report Viewer.  If you are interested in this additional functionality, email bruce@teamsideline.com for more information.

Balance Due

Balance Due

For our registration customers, we’ve made getting paid easier!  When your customers log into your site and they owe you money, we have added a new red Balance Due tile to make it more obvious that they need to pay!  They will be able to click on this tile and be taken to a page where they can easily pay their bill online via credit card.  In order to take advantage of this feature, you will need to have a credit card gateway setup on your site and have Enable Pay Balance set to Yes (Programs > Configurations).

Terms and Conditions

Now for facility reservations or individual and team registrations, you can easily add links from documents or other pages already existing on your site to a Terms and Conditions entry.  Just like you can do for a Program Description or News Item, click on the Links dropdown and drill down into each category until you find what you want to connect to and select that link or document.

Sponsors

Additional fields have been added to the recently released Sponsor functionality located under Content > Sponsors.  You can now capture your Sponsor’s contact name and email address and any notes you need to jot down about them.  You can also export the data out into an Excel file if needed (Reports > Report Exports > Sponsor Detail).

Images Library

Instead of hunting through all of the images on your PC or scouring the internet for a useful image, we have made an Image Library available for Programs, Calendar Events, News Items, and Add-Ons.  Once you are on the setup page for one of these items, just click on this image ImageLibrary when you want to access the Image Library, click the image you want, click Select, and finish by clicking Save.  We will continue to add more images to these libraries – if you have any suggestions, let us know at support@teamsideline.com.

Calendar Events

Need to populate your site calendar with a bunch of dates?  We’re making it quick and easy for you to import Calendar Events into your organization’s public calendar.  Go to Administration > Import Data and click on Calendar Import under CONTENT.  If you need further instructions, click on the associated PDF document PDF  for more details and if you need a sample file to get you started, click on the corresponding Excel icon Excel.

Admin Users

When you add or modify an admin user, you will notice a few changes in this area.  We’ve added tabs to separate the different functions – editing the admin capabilities, adding or deleting capability filters, and updating the admin’s name.  Look for the More Options icon MoreOptions  across from an admin’s name to get to any of these functions.

TeamSideline will release the next set of enhancements Wednesday night, November 12th.

Player Cards added to Team Registration with Adult Roster Registration

Now you can have teams register and include a roster invitation to each of the adult players on the team for any sport registration.  Also, each adult player can upload an image during the registration process to print out their own individual Player Card.  As an Admin, you have the ability to print a Team Roster with the pictures of all players on a team.  Email bruce@teamsideline.com if you are interested in learning more about the Team Registration module.

Custom Roster Fields by Sport

You can now add custom roster fields for all sports or by a specific sport for your Team Registrations.  This helps when you are running different types of sports leagues on your site but you need to collect a specific piece of information for only one sport.  (For example, you only need to get the USA Hockey Membership ID for Hockey registrations).  If you have the Team Registration module, go to Administration > Configurations > Custom Fields and click the Add Custom Field button to get started.

Playoff Results in Standings

Some organizations prefer to have the playoff game results included in the overall division standings.  After this release, you can add the playoff stats to your regular division standings results for both Standard and Tournament divisions.  Once you are in any division, go to 1 Configuration > Scoring and change Playoff Games in Standings to Yes.  Admins can also set this as a default for any sport (Schedules > Configurations > Sport Defaults) and for our Premium customers, you can make mass changes on any or all Divisions at once by clicking the Update Multiple Divisions button on the Schedules > Leagues & Divisions page.  Email bruce@teamsideline.com if you are interested in learning more about our Premium package or the Tournament Module.

More Sport Defaults

The Sport Defaults page (Schedules > Configurations > Sport Defaults) will now include all Auto-Coach Scoring data fields.  This means you can now setup a specific sport to initialize a new division to these values – so when you make your divisions visible, Auto-Coach Scoring can already be enabled and ready to go.  No more having to remember to set it up each season!

TeamSideline Web Evolution Project

The next color scheme for our new Evolved platform is now ready – green.  (The Evolved platform enables a “responsive” design of your web site so it’s more easily viewed on phones or any other device.)  Along with releasing the green scheme, we’ve added the ability to have Entry Forms available on an Evolved site.  For those organizations who want to move to the Evolved platform, let us know if you are interested in our new level of service for this platform – Professional Webmaster Services.

Facility Management Module

The following enhancements have been made for our Facility Management Module.

  • Security Deposit

A security deposit can now be setup and collected at the time of a reservation.  To add this to a facility, click on the Reservation tab and click the Add Pricing Tier button.  Once you’ve added a Pricing Tier, you can fill in the Security Deposit amount.

  • Add-ons

You can now enable Facility reservation “Add-ons”.  Examples of Facility reservation Add-ons are a bundle of firewood purchased with a campsite reservation or a bucket of balls purchased with a Golf Simulator rental.  The first step to setting this up is to create the item(s) to be purchased at Facility Reservation > Configuration > Buy Items.  The second step is to add the item as an Add-on to your facility.

Please note that the downtime period to enable these enhancements to be implemented will be from 10pm – Midnight (PST) Wednesday night, November 12th.

Double Elimination Brackets

TeamSideline now offers up to 32 teams for our Double Elimination Brackets!  These new brackets are available exclusively in our Tournament Module.  Email bruce@teamsideline.com if you are interested in learning more about the Tournament Module.

Team Site Mail Merge Form Deployment

Registration customers, have you used the Mail Merge functionality available under Reports before?  It’s a very powerful tool that allows you to add registration fields to a document you create that you then can print out or send to a PDF.  With this release, you will also be able to send these forms to each of your team sites, so now coaches and managers can print and distribute these forms themselves.  This can save you tons of time and get the forms into the hands of the personnel that really need them.  Still have questions?  Send us a note at support@teamsideline.com for a quick walkthrough.

Facility Management Module

The following enhancements have been made for to the Facility Management Module.  Email bruce@teamsideline.com if you are interested in learning more about the Facility Management Module.

  • Pricing Tiers

Admins can now setup facilities to be rented at different prices for different periods of time on any facility.  Here are some examples:

    • Rent a batting cage for $10 for 90 minutes from 7am to noon and $30 for 90 minutes from noon to 10pm.
    • Rent a gym for $25 an hour during the weekdays or $40 an hour on the weekends.
    • Rent a camping spot during the winter months for $10/night and the same spot for $25/night during the summer.
  • Block Reservation Discounts

Admins can also set Block Reservation Discounts for extended periods of time.  For example:

    • Setup a base rate at 30 minutes and offer a cheaper/discounted rate for a 60 minute rental so you can rent a party room at 30 minutes for $40 or 60 minutes for $75.
  • Coupons

Use “promotion” or “coupon” codes for your Facility Reservations just like you can for youth or adult registrations when you have the Registration Module.  Codes can be single use or multi use codes for a flat dollar discount or a percentage of the facility reservation.  For example, if you created a discount coupon code, then when your customer enters the code, the reservation order will be decreased by the discount that you pre-defined.

To compliment this functionality in the reporting area, the Reservation Information report under Reports > Report Exports will include new data fields to allow the reporting of the coupon data.

  • New Admin Roles

Two new admin “roles” have been added to the Facility Management Module.  You can use these two new roles separately or together – you have the flexibility to choose whichever configuration meets your needs.

  1. A Facility Viewer read-only role where an admin (perhaps at the Front Desk) can view the Calendar for any facility listed under Facility Reservation.
  2. A Facility Ordering role that can view information under the Customers tab, thus enabling this admin (perhaps a Cashier at the Front Desk) to be able to place any customer orders or take any customer payments.

Schedule Reporting

When you run the Games Report, you will now be able to see the playoff placeholders (ie. 1st Place, 2nd Place, etc) listed under the Home Team Name and Away Team Name columns.  Having this information available will allow admins and officials to be more aware of what level of play to expect for each game and be able to better adjust the officiating as needed.  If you also need to know the game number, add in the Playoff Game column to your report.

October 2nd Enhancements Notification

TeamSideline will release the next set of enhancements Thursday night, October 2nd.

TeamSideline Web Evolution Project

The first “responsive” layout is now in beta with two color schemes – blue and black.  (A “responsive” TeamSideline Site automatically changes to fit your phone or any device you are using.)  With the new layouts, you will be able to transform your TeamSideline Site into a responsive mobile site.  The presentation will be formatted to fit smartphones, tablets, and desktop PCs all on your one site with all the same content editing features you have today.  We’ll have more layouts and color schemes available in the near future.  If you are interested in migrating your Site to be mobile, please contact bruce@teamsideline.com.

You will also get advanced editing capabilities in case you are a Site Admin that likes to make the Site look “just right”.  If you don’t have a Site Admin with those skills, but you want a professional, polished look, we will offer a new level of customer service called “Professional Webmaster Services”.

We’ve also updated most of the Admin Content features to work easily on your phone – like the Banner, Splash Page, Page Edit, News Items, and Calendar – now they are all compatible with your mobile device(s).

The Store

If you use the Store functionality on your TeamSideline site, making purchases just got simpler for your customers.  They can now easily add multiple items all at once to their shopping cart, specifying any quantity they want before clicking the Add to Cart button.  And we have more Store updates planned for future releases.  You can setup your Store by going to Programs > Store Setup and start adding the merchandise you want to sell.

Officials

The Officials Module end user pages have been updated to be easier to read on smartphones and tablets.  Now your officials can input their scores quickly and easily on the field right after a game!  Email bruce@teamsideline.com if you are interested in learning more about the Officials Module.

Sponsors

Adding sponsor logos and links to your site just got easier!  From the Admin Site Map, go to Content > Sponsors and add as many sponsors as you want, rearranging them in any order you’d like.  And if you are a Premium customer, you will also be able to see how many times visitors to your site have clicked on your sponsors’ links.  Please email bruce@teamsideline.com if you are interested in learning more about the Premium upgrade.

New Schedules Page

Admins now have available a standard Schedules page that can be added as an additional tab on your site.  Go to Content > Configurations > Site Pages, right click on Menu Pages, scroll down to Add Standard Page, select Schedules, position Schedules wherever you want, and click the Save button – then checkout the public view of your Site and the new tab!  If you want to eliminate the left-hand display of any schedule, you can update the Hide Navigation Link to Yes on any division’s 1 Configuration > Display page.

Training

We’ve updated the Help > Online Training page into specific categories so you can find helpful videos quicker and easier.  Soon we will be adding more videos to this location.  If there is a video you would like to see, please let us know at support@teamsideline.com.

August 21st Enhancements Notification

TeamSideline will release the next set of enhancements this Thursday night, August 21st.

TeamSideline Web Evolution Project

TeamSideline will now automatically change to fit the device (phone, iPad, notebook or any computer) being used by your customers to register in recreation programs on your TeamSideline Site.

If your customers choose to, they can sign-in using their Facebook account.  Once signed-in, they will see their own User Site Map.  The User Site Map allows them to navigate to their profile, see any messages posted to them from TeamSideline, place and review orders, and access an enhanced Help system.

Next Up!  The next release of enhancements will enable the first set of changes for your public facing web site pages – so your Site can automatically change to fit the device your customer is using to view it.

Facility Management

Thanks to your feedback and partnership, the Facility Management Module continues to become more robust.  For example, in this release the Module will be able to handle multiple day reservations for day (Shelter) or night (Campground) type reservations.  The next release will expand the multiple reservation capability to other reservation types.  Please email bruce@teamsideline.com if you are interested in learning more about the Facility Management Module.

Team Roster Communications

For those of you using TeamSideline to build team rosters (including staff and players), you will now be able to easily communicate Rosters to just Team Staff members — before the Teams have been finalized or communicated to parents.  Go to Communications > Send Communication and when you get to the final Send Options page, click the Roster Link checkbox.  (Just make sure all of your Teams have been assigned to Divisions.)

Program Links

A lot of Registration Admins like to create News Items or specific pages that include links directly to each of their programs.  Now you can easily get this done by using the Links dropdown on either the Content > Page Edit page or when you add or edit a News Item (Content > News Items).  Within the page editor, just click on the Links dropdown, click the plus sign next to Programs, and select the program you want to enable your customers to access – the web address is now placed behind the text so they can easily get to your program!

Terms & Conditions Agreement

When customers are registering for a program, they have to “agree” or click on the “Agreement” checkbox for any Terms and Conditions that you have enabled before they can finalize their order.  Now you can customize the wording that displays next to the “Agreement” checkbox – so it can fit any type of registration you have.  Just go to Programs > Configurations > Terms and Conditions to modify each specific Agreement Text.

Program Payment Options

After this release, not only can registration Sites set all programs to take checks or credit cards, you can now set the payment option of checks or credit cards at each individual program.  Just set the Required Payment Type on any program’s 1 Setup page.

Recurring Payments

If you are one of our registration customers that uses recurring payment plans, you will be able to setup a payment plan using checks in addition to a payment plan using credit cards.  When you are on a customer’s Account Overview page, just click on the Add Payment Plan button to get started.

Officials Communication

You can now contact specific officials quickly with two new enhancements to the Officials Module.  When you compose an email on the Communications > Send Communication page, you can now drill down and select Officials by a specific club or drill down even further to select by status (which is typically setup as New/Active/Inactive).   Email bruce@teamsideline.com if you are interested in learning more about the Officials Module.

League Schedule Import

If you complete your schedules outside of TeamSideline and then want to import a whole league’s schedule all at once, the best way to do this is to use the League Schedule Import.  We’ve enhanced this import to include division attributes to better distinguish your divisions from one another.  You will also be able to import in the 2nd half of your schedule in one easy process.  The League Schedule Import is part of the Premium upgrade, so if you’re interested just email bruce@teamsideline.com.

Admin Site Map Navigation

Some of the links on the Admin Site Map have changed to make them better reflect what they really do.

  • Programs, Rosters, & Team Sites is now Manage Programs.
  • Left Sidebar Links is now Sidebar Links.
  • Site Page Structure is now Site Pages.
  • Content > Configurations > Site Images is new but contains images that were formerly in Administration > Configurations> General.

June 17th Enhancements Notification

TeamSideline will release the next set of enhancements this Tuesday night, June 17th.

Facility Management

The Facility Management Module continues to become more robust.  In this release we’ve enabled public users to use the Facility Reservation search function to search for availability in Facilities with either fixed time reservation periods or variable time reservations.  Email bruce@teamsideline.com if you’re interested in learning more about this module.

Shared Schedules

If you are an organization that shares your TeamSideline schedules with other organizations, you’ll find that when you do, all schedules with the same League and Season Name will be consolidated on the left-hand side of your site – making it easier for the public to find division schedules.

Stats

We’ve revamped the stats portion of TeamSideline to make it easier and quicker for you to setup and enter stats for your leagues and divisions.

* Stat Templates and Division Defaults

You can now create a sport specific template of the exact stats you want to use and then assign this template as a Division Default.  This means that every time you create a baseball division (as an example), the default stats will automatically be added to your new division.

  • Create your sport specific stat templates at Schedules > Configurations > Stat Templates.
  • Add a sport specific Stats Template at Schedules > Configurations > Sport Defaults.

* Unlimited Public Stats

Now you can add as many stats as you want to your divisions – there are no limitations!  This includes both team and individual stats.  And you will still update the stats at the same location – click the Edit Stats button on any division’s Standings page.

* Stat Categories

Starting with Baseball, we have created Stat Categories to make it easy to find, select, and report your stats.  As an example, we’ve added a complete list of baseball stats which are divided into categories of Hitting, Pitching, Fielding and Catching.  This makes it easy for people to review stats – and it makes it easier for you to add and track stats.

* Easy Linkage to Stats

On the Standings page, when stats are enabled the public can click any team name to quickly go to both the team and individual leaderboard stats for that division.  From there, anyone can continue to drill down further by team name or by individual player.

Editing Game Scores

In this release, we continue to add usability adjustments to the new Admin responsive design.  The next time you are on the Edit Scores page of any division to put in game scores, you will notice vertical grid lines to help you visually see where to put scores.
