August 21st Enhancements Notification

TeamSideline will release the next set of enhancements this Thursday night, August 21st.

TeamSideline Web Evolution Project

TeamSideline will now automatically change to fit the device (phone, iPad, notebook or any computer) being used by your customers to register in recreation programs on your TeamSideline Site.

If your customers choose to, they can sign-in using their Facebook account.  Once signed-in, they will see their own User Site Map.  The User Site Map allows them to navigate to their profile, see any messages posted to them from TeamSideline, place and review orders, and access an enhanced Help system.

Next Up!  The next release of enhancements will enable the first set of changes for your public facing web site pages – so your Site can automatically change to fit the device your customer is using to view it.

Facility Management

Thanks to your feedback and partnership, the Facility Management Module continues to become more robust.  For example, in this release the Module will be able to handle multiple day reservations for day (Shelter) or night (Campground) type reservations.  The next release will expand the multiple reservation capability to other reservation types.  Please email bruce@teamsideline.com if you are interested in learning more about the Facility Management Module.

Team Roster Communications

For those of you using TeamSideline to build team rosters (including staff and players), you will now be able to easily communicate Rosters to just Team Staff members — before the Teams have been finalized or communicated to parents.  Go to Communications > Send Communication and when you get to the final Send Options page, click the Roster Link checkbox.  (Just make sure all of your Teams have been assigned to Divisions.)

Program Links

A lot of Registration Admins like to create News Items or specific pages that include links directly to each of their programs.  Now you can easily get this done by using the Links dropdown on either the Content > Page Edit page or when you add or edit a News Item (Content > News Items).  Within the page editor, just click on the Links dropdown, click the plus sign next to Programs, and select the program you want to enable your customers to access – the web address is now placed behind the text so they can easily get to your program!

Terms & Conditions Agreement

When customers are registering for a program, they have to “agree” or click on the “Agreement” checkbox for any Terms and Conditions that you have enabled before they can finalize their order.  Now you can customize the wording that displays next to the “Agreement” checkbox – so it can fit any type of registration you have.  Just go to Programs > Configurations > Terms and Conditions to modify each specific Agreement Text.

Program Payment Options

After this release, not only can registration Sites set all programs to take checks or credit cards, you can now set the payment option of checks or credit cards at each individual program.  Just set the Required Payment Type on any program’s 1 Setup page.

Recurring Payments

If you are one of our registration customers that uses recurring payment plans, you will be able to setup a payment plan using checks in addition to a payment plan using credit cards.  When you are on a customer’s Account Overview page, just click on the Add Payment Plan button to get started.

Officials Communication

You can now contact specific officials quickly with two new enhancements to the Officials Module.  When you compose an email on the Communications > Send Communication page, you can now drill down and select Officials by a specific club or drill down even further to select by status (which is typically setup as New/Active/Inactive).   Email bruce@teamsideline.com if you are interested in learning more about the Officials Module.

League Schedule Import

If you complete your schedules outside of TeamSideline and then want to import a whole league’s schedule all at once, the best way to do this is to use the League Schedule Import.  We’ve enhanced this import to include division attributes to better distinguish your divisions from one another.  You will also be able to import in the 2nd half of your schedule in one easy process.  The League Schedule Import is part of the Premium upgrade, so if you’re interested just email bruce@teamsideline.com.

Admin Site Map Navigation

Some of the links on the Admin Site Map have changed to make them better reflect what they really do.

  • Programs, Rosters, & Team Sites is now Manage Programs.
  • Left Sidebar Links is now Sidebar Links.
  • Site Page Structure is now Site Pages.
  • Content > Configurations > Site Images is new but contains images that were formerly in Administration > Configurations> General.

Please note that the downtime period to enable these enhancements to be implemented will be from 10pm – Midnight (PST) Thursday night, August 21st.

June 17th Enhancements Notification

TeamSideline will release the next set of enhancements this Tuesday night, June 17th.

Facility Management

The Facility Management Module continues to become more robust.  In this release we’ve enabled public users to use the Facility Reservation search function to search for availability in Facilities with either fixed time reservation periods or variable time reservations.  Email bruce@teamsideline.com if you’re interested in learning more about this module.

Shared Schedules

If you are an organization that shares your TeamSideline schedules with other organizations, you’ll find that when you do, all schedules with the same League and Season Name will be consolidated on the left-hand side of your site – making it easier for the public to find division schedules.

Stats

We’ve revamped the stats portion of TeamSideline to make it easier and quicker for you to setup and enter stats for your leagues and divisions.

* Stat Templates and Division Defaults

You can now create a sport specific template of the exact stats you want to use and then assign this template as a Division Default.  This means that every time you create a baseball division (as an example), the default stats will automatically be added to your new division.

  • Create your sport specific stat templates at Schedules > Configurations > Stat Templates.
  • Add a sport specific Stats Template at Schedules > Configurations > Sport Defaults.

* Unlimited Public Stats

Now you can add as many stats as you want to your divisions – there are no limitations!  This includes both team and individual stats.  And you will still update the stats at the same location – click the Edit Stats button on any division’s Standings page.

* Stat Categories

Starting with Baseball, we have created Stat Categories to make it easy to find, select, and report your stats.  As an example, we’ve added a complete list of baseball stats which are divided into categories of Hitting, Pitching, Fielding and Catching.  This makes it easy for people to review stats – and it makes it easier for you to add and track stats.

* Easy Linkage to Stats

On the Standings page, when stats are enabled the public can click any team name to quickly go to both the team and individual leaderboard stats for that division.  From there, anyone can continue to drill down further by team name or by individual player.

Editing Game Scores

In this release, we continue to add usability adjustments to the new Admin responsive design.  The next time you are on the Edit Scores page of any division to put in game scores, you will notice vertical grid lines to help you visually see where to put scores.

May 14th Enhancements Notification

TeamSideline will release the next set of enhancements this Wednesday night, May 14th.

The Release includes several key enhancements in the Tournament Module.

Split Tournament Brackets

Ever have one division that you want to split into two brackets – such as upper and lower brackets from a single division?  With the Tournament Module, all you have to do is indicate on any Tournament division’s 1 Configuration > Scheduling page how many teams and what type of bracket you would like.  Then follow the same process to create both bracket schedules.

Single Elimination With Consolation Tournament Brackets

The Tournament Module now includes Single Elimination With Consolation brackets from 4 to 24 teams (21-24 team SEWC brackets are new).

Auto Placement Of Pool Teams Into Tournament Brackets

Now you can default the automatic placement of your Tournament pool teams into your brackets.  For example, you can automatically set the brackets so the Pool A 1st Place team plays against the Pool B 4th Place team, and so on.  Plus, you still have the flexibility to change the seeding if you want to make adjustments.

Tournament Stats

Now you can show individual and team stats for all of your Tournament Module games as well as your regular division games.  No matter what the sport, stats can be tracked.  Don’t see a stat you need for your sport?  Email support@teamsideline.com and we’ll add it for you.

Email bruce@teamsideline.com if you are interested in upgrading to add the Tournament Module – or the Facility Management Module, because there are several important enhancements to the Facility Management Module as well.

Facility Management 2.0

  • Create timeslot reservation blocks after setting the availability for each facility you setup.Reservation blocks can be set fixed time reservations (for example, hourly at 10am, 11am, or 12pm) or flexible time reservations (for example, a range of time from 10am-1pm).
  • Add Custom Facility Fields to track facility related information such as a key code for a building.
  • Add Reservation Fields to any facility to capture information you need from your customers when they are making a reservation.
  • Add Internal Notes to any reservation in a customer’s account.
  • Terms and Conditions have been enabled for the Facility Management Reservations.  Just create the T’s and C’s at Facility Reservation > Configurations > Terms and Conditions and then associate one or more with a facility on the facilities’ Checkout page.
  • Run the Reservation Information Report (Reports > Report Exports) to export all reservation related data fields into Excel for further use and analysis.
  • Easily search for reservations by Reservation Number on the Customer > Account Management > Search page.
  • More Facility Management enhancements are on the way.  Let us know if you have specific functions you want added to this Module.

If you are using TeamSideline for registration, we have lots of useful enhancements for you also.

A/R Aging Report

It’s important to efficiently track who owes you money so now we’ve made it easier for you to get that information.  To run the new A/R Aging Report, go to Reports > Report Viewer and select the Customer > Account > A/R Aging Detail  then press the Go button.  Your report will be organized in 30 day groupings, showing you the oldest payments due first.

Terms and Conditions

With this release, you can have Terms and Conditions for your registration programs that are optional — to date they have always been required during the registration process.  However, sometimes you may need your customer to have the option to agree or not to one of the T’s and C’s when they do their final Checkout.  An example would be for a picture waiver – now you can choose to enable a waiver like this to be optional.  Just go to your Terms and Condition at Programs > Configurations > Terms and Conditions.

Maximum Number of Enrollments

Today you can set the number of enrollments to a maximum number for each Offering.  But sometimes you want to be able to have a maximum number of enrollees for the program as a whole.  For example, for swim instruction classes you may have different age groups that can take instruction at the pool at one time, but a maximum number of total people that can be at the pool during that time.  After this release, you can go to the Setup page for any Program and set this overall participant configuration.

#2 Parent

The Second Parent information will now be available on both the Enrollment Information Report (Reports > Report Exports) and the Mail Merge (Reports > Mail Merge).  This means not only can you report out the primary parent information, but you can include the additional parent’s information using either of these functions as well.

Customer Account Overview

If you are using TeamSideline for registration, you will see a big change in the Account Overview page.  Instead of all account information being on one page as it is today, the page is now broken up into tabs to allow easy access of Orders, Enrollments, Volunteering, and Placing an Order.  In addition to making it easier to find information on a particular account today, it will enable future account functions that are added to be found more easily as well.

Emailing Schedule Links

Every public facing Schedule page now has an easy way to send a link to any email address you or your customers want.  Go to your Home page and click on any schedule.  Look for the Social Share box and click the envelope.  A dialog box will open up for you to fill in the email address, etc.  Type in the spam-preventing image code and click the Send button.

Web Evolution Update

More changes are on the way!  Previously we sent you a note letting you know about our project called TeamSideline Web Evolution.  This summer you will see the end-user signed in portion of TeamSideline transformed, allowing for a responsive experience so your membership can, for example, enroll more easily in your registration programs using smartphones or tablets.

TeamSideline will release the next set of enhancements this Wednesday night, March 19th.

Older Browser Notification

After this release, users that come to TeamSideline with older browsers like Internet Explorer 7 will get a friendly message to upgrade their browser to get the best experience with the site.  If you would like to find out which browsers and versions are supported, click here.

Account Statement

If you are using TeamSideline for registration, you will be able to create an Account Statement for each of your customers.  The Statement lists the orders and payments for the customer account.  To create the Statement from any customer’s Account Overview page, click the Print Account Statement button and a PDF will be created that you can save and email to a customer.

Team Site Reminders

If you choose to, TeamSideline Team Sites can send out email reminders to parents, grandparents, friends, and other family members.  Now this cool feature just got better!  These reminders will now include additional information for the team – whether the team is the Home or Away team – and what Jersey color should be worn by the players.  Tip:  If your customers decide they don’t want to receive these reminders, let them know they can turn them off in their Team Site Profile.

TeamSideline will release the next set of enhancements Wednesday night, March 5th.

Enable single page to update all scores for a single day

When you edit scores for a division today, you have to go to each Division page and click an Edit Scores button.  After Wednesday, if you have a Standard Site or higher, you will be able to go to a single Edit Scores page to edit all scores for a given sport for any date range.

Enable comments, reminders, and polls for league linked practices

Organizations using TeamSideline for player registration have the ability to create Team Sites.  When the Organization Site creates practice schedules, those schedules can be published to the Team Sites.  After this release, Coaches and other Team Staff will be able to edit practices which are published from the Organization Site, to both add “Staff Notes” and edit Reminder Email settings.  The Reminder emails can then include the Staff Notes as well as a Poll so Coaches know in advance who will be able to attend a practice.

Context Drop downs for division pages (takes you to the same page)

Life just got better for those of you with multiple divisions and complex scheduling situations.  Here’s why: today, when you are working on Schedules, if you are on a Division Configuration page, you may want to go to the Configuration page for a different division to review or change the configurations.  After Wednesday, you can click a Navigation Icon to jump directly to the Division Configuration page for any Division in your Site.  The same will be true for the Teams, Time Slots and Create Schedule pages – for example, if you are on a Division Time Slots page, you can click a Navigation Icon to jump directly to the Division Time Slots page for any Division in your Site.

Public View Signed-in Bar For Administrators

After Wednesday, it will be much easier to toggle back and forth between your Site Admin pages and your Public facing pages.  When signed in as an Administrator and viewing your public facing pages, a thin Admin bar will display across the top of the page.  The Admin bar will include several items, including an “Admin Site Map” link – so you won’t have to scroll down to the bottom and click the Admin Site Map link any more.

Hide coupon area on Checkout page if no coupons available

Organizations using TeamSideline for registrations can add coupons of various types to the registration process.  After this release, the coupon section on the Checkout page will be hidden automatically if you are not using coupons.

February 8th Enhancements Notification

TeamSideline will release the first set of 2014 enhancements this Saturday night, February 8th.

Web Evolution Update

Big changes are coming your way!  Previously we sent you a note letting you know about our project called TeamSideline Web Evolution.  This release is where you will see the admin portion of TeamSideline transformed, giving us lots more room on the site to bring you more great tools to work with.  Once you sign in to your site as an admin, here are a few of the changes you will see:

  • The admin site now has the same standard look and feel for all of our customers.  This allows us to move closer to bringing you the mobile capability you’ve been asking for.  Your profile is now located at the top where you see your name.  Click on it to adjust your name, password, and email address.
  • Also at the top, click on the word Messages to read any message that has been sent to you by TeamSideline.
  • Help is now located at the top of the page – the dropdown lets you get to our Knowledge Base of articles, the online documentation, the online training videos, and the link to contact support.Help links are also available at the bottom of the page – or you can just email support@teamsideline.com.
  • Signing out of the site is now in the top right corner.
  • To get to your public site (the site all of your customers can see), click the web address under your organization’s name in the middle top portion of the site.
  • Click the House icon to take you to the Admin Site Map at any time.
  • You’ll be able to get to any schedule quickly by using the Quick Divisions Menu icon located on each division’s Standings page.  Click on the DivisionMenuIcon  next to the division name.
  • Any left-hand Admin Links that are created on your site are now located under Admin Sidebar Links on the Admin Site Map.
  • Check out the improved Standings page – there are new icons and a crisper look to the standings and schedule tables.

This is a work in progress and with each release we will continue to format, beautify, and enhance all pages for all hardware – from your PC to your Tablet to your Smart Phone.  Coming soon, the Web Evolution project will add new layout options for your public site as well as mobile enabled registration.  If you have ideas regarding how we can make the admin portion of TeamSideline better, please send us your feedback by emailing support@teamsideline.com.

Registration Imports

Now both player and volunteer registrations can be imported into TeamSideline, allowing you to bypass the registration process but still use Roster Assignments to build teams, communication lists for those rosters, and Team Sites.  You will also be able to import up to six custom enrollment fields of your choosing.  Meanwhile, the number of required data fields to import has been decreased so this process is both easier and more flexible.  You can find these new imports at Administration > Import Data — look for the Enrollee Registration Import and Volunteer Registration Import.  If you are not using TeamSideline for registration, the enhanced import process means you can take registrations in a different system, but easily import registration data into your TeamSideline Site so you can use the TeamSideline tools that are not available in your registration system.  Email bruce@teamsideline.com if you are interested in learning more.

Roster Assignments

Assigning players to teams just keeps getting better and better with each release.  We’ve improved the performance, made the filters easier to use, and added the ability to highlight multiple items on each player.  Go to Programs, Rosters, & Team Sites, click on the blue people icon  and click the Assign to Roster button to get started.

Communications

Ever just want to send an email right from the Customer Account you are in?  Or even from the Customer Search page?  Now you can click the mail icon in either spot to send a communication to just one person.  Follow the normal process and send them an email!

Registration Information

You said you wanted it and here it is!  There is now a configuration to hide the standard Program Information that is displayed for any program.  Click the checkbox titled Hide default program text on the Program > 1 Setup page.  This way you can type exactly what you want to display without automatically generated program information getting in your way.

Creating Cross Division Schedules

Do you have divisions where teams play each other and then play teams in other divisions?  Baseball and Softball Leagues tend to use this type of scheduling a lot and we’ve made it a lot easier for you to get this done with this Release.  However this new function is a beta version.  So if you want to test it out, let us know and we will add it to your Site.

Managing Practice Schedules

If you use TeamSideline to schedule your practices, you will see a significantly new and improved process to create and update these types of schedules.  If you are a Premium customer, you can now drag and drop practice times on the Multi Location Calendar.  Email bruce@teamsideline.com if you are interested in learning more about the Premium upgrade.

Handling Scheduling Conflicts

A couple of new scheduling configuration changes have been implemented.  First, you can now choose to see warnings if a team plays more than one game per day. Second, if you use the Multi-Team Coach (MTC) functionality, you can configure your divisions to use the alternate email addresses as well as the primary email addresses to find out where the MTC conflicts are.  To turn this on, go to Schedules > Configurations > General and set Alternate Email under Multi-Team Coach to Yes.

Support Site

As part of the redesign, we have refreshed the look and feel of the TeamSideline Support Ticket System as well as the Knowledge Base.  Check it out – you can also use it on your mobile device.

TeamSideline will release the final set of 2013 enhancements this Sunday night, December 8th.

Web Evolution Update

We sent you a note a while back letting you know about our new project called TeamSideline Web Evolution.  This initiative takes the latest technologies and feedback from you, our customers, and evolves all TeamSideline sites to become more compatible with mobile and tablet devices, provides for flexibility on your site layout, and incorporates many technology improvements.  This Release showcases this technology in TeamSideline Team Sites.  For example, when you login at www.teamsideline.com, your team site home page is a collection of your next seven days of team activities – everything in one place for your team, your membership teams, or your customer teams!

Schedule Mobile View

The mobile view for your schedules is being enhanced to include showing playoff brackets, tournament pools, practices, and locations.  You can access your schedule’s current mobile view at www.teamsideline.com from any mobile device.

Auto-Resolve for Multi Team Coaches

Another bonus included in the Premium upgrade is an Auto-Resolve for Multi Team Coaches.  With a click of a button on the Create Schedule  page, Multi Team Coach game conflicts are corrected in seconds.   Email bruce@teamsideline.com if you are interested in learning more about the Premium upgrade.

Update Multiple Divisions

All Sites that have the Premium upgrade will now have a great new Scheduling feature – Update Multiple Divisions.  This one button will allow you to apply changes to more than one division at once, saving you tons of time.  Look for this button on the Schedules, Leagues & Divisions page.

Upcoming Games Gadget

A new Upcoming Games Gadget easily shows games that are going to be played within the next 7 days on the right-hand side of your site.  Activate the gadget under Content > Configurations > General  by setting Show Gadget  to Yes.  Then control the number of days you want to show up to seven and adjust the height of the display if you want.  If there are no games to display, the gadget won’t be visible until the next time a game is to be played.

Individual Player Registration

Assigning players to teams just got easier!  On the Assign Teams page for any Program, you will be able to drag and drop players from the list of available enrollees to the appropriate team they are on and change from one team to another.

Team Registration Minimum and Maximum Players

For Team Registration customers, if you take advantage of Coach Roster Management or Team Manager/Player Registration, you can now set the minimum and maximum number of players for rosters in any registration program.  You will find this control on the Setup page of your registration programs.

Team Registration Team Assignments

For assigning Team Registration teams to divisions, additional filters are now available that include any Enrollment Field you have defined for a program.  From the Rosters page, click on the Assign Teams button and then the Add Filter button.  Click the dropdown to see the list of available filters you can use.

Red and Yellow Card Tracking

Soccer leagues that take their registrations through TeamSideline can now easily track red and yellow card violations by any player on their Customer Account Overview page.  Email bruce@teamsideline.com if you are interested in learning more about this upgrade.

Individual Player Cards

You can now have your customers upload an image during the registration process and be able to print out their own individual Player Cards.  Email bruce@teamsideline.com if you are interested in learning more about this upgrade.

Registration Search

TeamSideline registration Sites will now be able find team accounts more easily.  Go to Customers > Account Management > Search to see two new additional ways to find them – Team Id or Player Id for those customers with this capability.  In addition, you can now add notes to any individual customer’s account.  Just click the Add Note button once you are on the Customer Account Overview page.

Reporting

Do you like to make your own custom reports under Reports > Report Exports?  Now you can easily modify a report’s name by clicking the pencil icon by your custom report.  And if you add a field or two to your custom report and click the Save Report button, click the Overwrite?  checkbox to replace your old report with this new one.

October 19th Enhancements Notification

TeamSideline will release the next set of 2013 enhancements this Saturday night, October 19th.

Site Schedule and Calendar Linking

Would you like to display schedules or calendar events from other TeamSideline Sites on your TeamSideline Site?  Now you can control the schedules that display from other TeamSideline Sites that your TeamSideline Site is associated to.  You can also choose to share another TeamSideline Site’s calendar events on your Site calendar.  From the Admin Site Map, go to Administration > Associated Organizations and make any adjustments under Shared Organizations.

Multi Team Coach

Want better visibility of the Multi Team Coach conflicts?  Sites with the Premium Site upgrade will see a new “MT Coaches” button on each Division Create Schedule page.  The button displays a Multi Team Coach  page which has all of the games for coaches coaching multiple games.  You can then click on a link for a game to go back to the Create Schedule page where you can drag and drop games to make changes.  If there is a Multi Team Coach message on the Create Schedule page that you choose to ignore, just click the red X at the end of the message to hide it.  (You can re-display all messages by clicking the Clear Filters button that displays when any messages are hidden.)  Email bruce@teamsideline.com if you are interested in learning more about the Premium upgrade.

Location Visibility

Control the visibility of the locations on your site by setting the Show Publicly control appropriately for each of your locations.  You can also show location specific events on each Location Calendar by setting Show Calendar to Yes.  You can make these updates by going to Schedules > Locations and clicking on the pencil icon for each of your locations.

Location Gadget

A new Location Gadget easily shows if fields or facilities are open or closed on the right-hand side of your site.  Activate the gadget under Content > Configurations > General by setting Show Gadget to Yes.  Then control what is displayed as a default message by location, or just set locations to Open or Closed,  on the Schedules > Locations > Update Condition Status page.

Splash Page

Sites with the Premium Upgrade can now control when your Splash Page stops being displayed by setting a Show Until Day/Time  date on the Splash Page Edit page.  No more forgetting to take it down after it is no longer needed.  From the Admin Site Map, go to Content > Splash Page Edit and set the appropriate date and time.  Email bruce@teamsideline.com if you are interested in learning more about the Premium upgrade.

Overtime Loss for Hockey

If you have schedules for Hockey, Overtime Loss is now available to show in your Standings.  First step is to setup a Custom Standings for Hockey under Schedules > Configurations > Custom Standings and include Overtime Loss.  Next step is to update the schedules that you want to use it by updating Standings Layout  under 1 Configuration > Display within Schedules, Leagues, & Divisions.

Support Tab

You may notice the support tab on the right side of each page is not there anymore.  Instead, just either click on the Support link on the left-hand sidebar or on the Support link at the bottom of each page.  You can search our Knowledge Base for help with your question or click on Submit A Request to send in a support ticket – or just email support@teamsideline.com.

We’ve been working on creating more videos to help make understanding how to do certain tasks easier.  The latest additions are “How to do a Division Schedule Import” and “How to Create an Entry Form”.  Check them out and see if they help you learn to do something new on your site.

September 1st Enhancements Notification

TeamSideline will release the next set of 2013 enhancements this Sunday night, September 1st.

Team/Roster Registration

TeamSideline is offering a new module – Team/Roster Registration.  With this Module, Team Managers register their teams and then invite players by automated email so players can register to be on the Team Roster.  When players register, you can configure the Registration Program to have them pay a player fee (or no player fee) and have them agree to any League Terms & Conditions you create.  Email bruce@teamsideline.com if you are interested in learning more about the Team/Roster Registration Module.

Officials Text Messaging

Ever want to send a text to just your officials?  Now texting is enabled for all of your officials.  Take a look at this article for the specific steps to get this working for you and your officials.  Email bruce@teamsideline.com if you are interested in learning more about the Officials module.

Mobile Site

Have you tried going to m.teamsideline.com, our mobile site?  This site is being enhanced with the new TeamSideline look and feel and will offer better support for more devices.  After Sunday, check it out and let us know what you think.

Manage Email Filters

Currently, when you will see an email filter has been placed on one of your customers and want it removed, you have to email support@teamsideline.com.  Now you will be able to remove your customers’ email filters yourself.  From the Admin Site Map, go to Communications > Email Filters, input the email address and click Search.  Once the filter is displayed, click the red X to remove it.

Display Division Teams

In the past, you could not display the teams on the Division Standings page without creating a schedule.  After Sunday, you can display the teams on the Division Standings page before the schedule has been created.  From the Leagues & Divisions page, if the Visibility icon is gray (because you have no schedule yet) you can click it green to display the division teams.  After you create the schedule, change the Show Schedule Section configuration to “Yes” on the 1 Configuration > Display page to display your Schedule.

Hide Registration Account History

If you’ve been a TeamSideline registration customer for a few years, you know that looking at one of your customer’s account pages can be a bit long as orders have been placed over the years.  Not anymore!  Now you can set a filter on one customer’s Account Overview page and the filter will be used on each subsequent view of any customer.  Click on the Filter button to take advantage of this.

Hide Schedule Warning

Sites with the Premium upgrade will now be able to hide individual warning messages when you are making or viewing a schedule.  Just click on the red X for a particular message and once you calculate the schedule again, the warning won’t be displayed to you anymore.  Email bruce@teamsideline.com if you are interested in learning more about the Premium upgrade.

August 3rd Enhancements Notification

TeamSideline will release the next set of 2013 enhancements this Saturday night, August 3rd.

Public Calendar

A popular request has been to be able to automatically show all of an organization’s games on the calendar that is displayed under the Calendar tab for your customers to see.  Now you will be able to turn this feature on and have your games on the Calendar without having to type them in anymore.  In addition, two new calendar “gadgets” are coming soon – the ability to display upcoming games across all of your Leagues on the home page — and also the ability to show recently scored games on the home page.

Splash Page

If you use the Splash Page, you know how great it can be to alert your customers to important information from your organization.  Now you will be able to have a background color other than white and really get their attention!  Please note the Splash Page is only available on Sites with the Premium upgrade.  Email bruce@teamsideline.com if you are interested in learning more about the Premium functions.

Scheduling

Another bonus for Sites with the Premium upgrade is the new Toggle Group on the Create Schedule page.  If you have long schedules, you will no longer have to scroll up and down to make edits.  Just click the Toggle Group button and the scored weeks will be automatically collapsed each time you go to the Create Schedule page.  Click on the arrow next to the week to open it up again if you need to.  Please note the Toggle Group is only available on Sites with the Premium upgrade.  Email bruce@teamsideline.com if you are interested in learning more about the Premium functions.

League Import

Instead of just being able to import your schedule by each division, you will now have the ability to import a whole league all at once in one file.  This comes in handy if your schedules are created outside of TeamSideline but you still want to display and track the scoring within your site.  You will find this new functionality at Administration > Import Data.  Please note that the League Import is only available on Sites with the Premium upgrade.  Email bruce@teamsideline.com if you are interested in learning more about the Premium functions.

Organization Specific Scheduling Permissions

Permissions for Advanced Scheduling will be enhanced to allow a Scheduler to be filtered by a specific organization.  This will allow more people to be able to update their own schedules instead of the burden always falling on the main scheduling admin.  For example, if you have several Clubs or organizations using a Site, you will be able to have a Scheduler sign in and only be able to edit games at the locations associated to the Club/Organization of the Scheduler.

Multi Location Calendar Game Swap

Also for Advanced Scheduling Sites, you will now be able to swap teams easily from the Multi-Location Calendar if there are Multi Team Coach conflicts.  Just right click on a game and select swap.  You will then see a Swap Window.  The Swap Window displays all game slots at the current location so you can easily select to swap the game with another at that location.  From the Swap Window you can also see which game slots would be a conflict for the Multi Team Coach.

Officials Management

Within the Officials Module, you will now be able to hide certain official status’, like inactive, which will make the Officials Management Search Page much easier to work in because these officials will not be displayed anymore.  This should be a big time-saver for all of the Officials Coordinators.  Email bruce@teamsideline.com if you are interested in learning more about the Officials module.
